General Aviation Security Training for Level 2 (Medium) Airports

About this workshop
In this workshop, Transportation Security Administration staff provided security training for personnel at general aviation (GA) level 2 (medium) airports. Participants learned how to:
- Recognize how GA aircraft and facilities could be used for criminal purposes
- Apply crime prevention techniques through environmental design basics
- Establish an Airport Watch Program
- Establish a plan to use and maintain an aircraft key control system
- Create a plan to orient local law enforcement responders on the basics of airport and aircraft operations
- Create and implement an airport security plan for all airport personnel
- Create and implement an airport security committee
- Outline steps to plan, implement, test, and maintain a formal emergency communication system
- Develop National Incident Management Systems fundamentals
- Create a business continuity plan
