2018 Minnesota Airports Conference Call for Presentations

At this time, the conference planning committee is soliciting presentation ideas for the 2018 conference. While thinking about topic ideas to present, please also consider any historical topics, case studies, or stories that could be shared at the conference. If you have historical photos and would be willing to have them included in a slideshow at the event, please complete the presentation submission form with your information and we will contact you.

Consultants, airport personnel, council members, and others who are passionate about the past and future of our aviation system are welcome to submit ideas for technical and historical presentations. If you don't have a specific presentation idea to share, suggestions for topics that you would like to learn more about or topics you would like to hear addressed by presenters from MnDOT and the FAA are also welcome.

Lecture, panel, and activity-based presentations are welcome. Presentations may be 20 or 45 minutes in length.

Suggested Topics

Presentations are encouraged to highlight innovative and emerging topics or trends as well as technical, maintenance, operations, and safety-related issues. Presentations that address the following topics are encouraged, but submissions in other topic areas are also welcome.

  • Operations
  • Finance
  • Land use
  • Planning and development
  • Zoning
  • Promotion and advocacy
  • Procedures and standards
  • Environmental
  • Asset management
  • Historical data, stories, case studies, photos, etc.

Submit a Presentation

To submit a presentation, please complete the form below by September 28, 2017. The conference planning committee will notify submitters in mid-November whether their submission has been accepted for presentation.

Submissions should include a title, session description, and an explanation of why your topic will be of interest to a wide range of aviation professionals, as well as known or suggested presenters. Entire panel sessions may be submitted as one presentation. Please limit your session descriptions to 450 words or less. You may submit more than one presentation for consideration, but you must complete a separate submission form for each presentation.

Please note: When submitting a nomination, you must complete the entire online form at one time. You will not be able to save or return to a partially completed form at a later time.
