Jim Schultze at Forest Lake Airport addressed the need for pilots to see that gas was for sale at the airport, and at what price, by obtaining an old sign from a local auto fuel pump company. The large sign is ideal for posting the gas price at the airport: it’s easy to read and easy to change, and it can be installed directly over pumps. Most important, it can be seen from the runway, so pilots doing “touch and gos” can see the price without leaving the runway.
