The Airport Technical Assistance Program held its first-ever fall forum November 3 and 4 in St. Cloud, Minnesota.
Participants representing airports across Minnesota learned from aviation experts on topics ranging from attracting business to airports and meeting FAA minimum standards to controlling wildlife and using the AirTAP marketing toolkit.
One special guest was Representative Michael Beard, chair of the House Subcommittee on Aviation. In another presentation, Professor Bill Gartner of the University of Minnesota introduced a new Web-based tool for determining the economic impact of GA airports in the state.
Forum attendees also took part in a reception and tour at the St. Cloud Regional Airport and a discussion on commercial service led by Jeff Hamiel, executive director of the Metropolitan Airports Commission.
